Meet
Cameron
Cameron Mofid went from having debilitating anxiety and OCD to becoming the youngest person to visit every country in the world.
This is his story.
How It Began
As a teenager, I struggled with severe anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), which affected nearly every part of my life. OCD damaged my grades in school, sabotaged my performance in sports, and tore apart my relationships with friends and family. As the years passed, life became very dark. Then, one night while I was in college, I came across an article that changed everything.
The SPark
I learned that more people had been to space than had visited every country in the world. As I read that, the idea of visiting every country felt like the ultimate test of what my mind feared most: uncertainty and a lack of control. What could be more uncertain than crossing into war zones, jungles, and deserts with no idea what’s waiting for you?
That night, I committed to visiting all 195 countries and breaking the world record for the youngest person to do so. After saving and planning meticulously, I embarked on my mission. From that point on, I found myself in situations I never could have imagined.
The Journey To Every Country
I was detained under false espionage charges, hospitalized after drinking unpasteurized camel’s milk, and even backpacked through the mountains into Taliban-controlled Afghanistan. But alongside those moments, I also experienced extraordinary kindness and witnessed incredible resilience from some of the world’s most vulnerable people. Still, nothing could have prepared me for what I’d find in my 115th country.
Humanitarian Work
In Nigeria, I visited the water settlement of Makoko, where over 200,000 people live on wooden stilt homes above a lagoon filled with sewage. There, I met children, who despite their circumstances, had an enthusiasm for life that completely blew me away. They inspired me to start Humanity Effect, a nonprofit empowering children in Makoko through education.
While building the organization, which has since supported over 1,000 children through two schools and an orphanage, I continued traveling. Eventually, I reached 194 countries, until just one remained: North Korea.
The Finish Line
After two failed attempts, I entered North Korea on April 3, 2025. At 25, I became the youngest person to ever visit every country in the world, a record verified by Nomad Mania, the world’s largest extreme travel community. But more important than the record, was the lessons and skills the journey gave me. For the first time in my life, I felt in control of my life. OCD no longer defined me.
Now, my mission is to help you redefine what’s truly possible in your life.
