Keynote Description

Adversity is an inherent part of life. The real question isn’t how to avoid it—it’s how to use it.

Every person and every organization will face adversity. The difference is whether it becomes something that holds you back—or something that moves you forward. Traveling through 195 countries, Cameron witnessed how people around the world overcome unimaginable hardship, from war to extreme poverty.

In Lagos, Nigeria, Cameron visited the fishing community of Makoko, where thousands of families live in homes built on wooden stilts above a heavily polluted lagoon. What began as a brief visit quickly became one of the most impactful experiences of his journey.

After returning home, he launched an online fundraiser to support children in the community. What started as a small initiative eventually grew into Humanity Effect, a nonprofit that has supported more than 1,000 children in Lagos with safe housing and quality education. Through powerful stories from Nigeria and beyond, Cameron shares lessons on how adversity can become the foundation for a more purposeful life and a driving force for meaningful growth.
